EDUCATIONAL AND THEORETICAL PROGRAME
Panel:
”The position of dramatic literature for children and young people in the region”
This panel aims to reassess the frameworks in which modern drama writing is created and developed and is intended for children and young audiences in the region of Western Balkans. This event will round up playwrights, drama pedagogies, writers, cultural workers and artists who work in the field of theatre for children and youth so we can all together discuss and think through the current trends, challenges and possibilities in this field.
The reason for this conversation is,, Igniting the Voices of Emerging Writers” residence organised by the Festival of Ecological Theatre for Children and Youth (FEP), which is is supported by the European Festivals Fund for Emerging Artists – EFFEA, an initiative of the European Festivals Association (EFA), co-funded by the European Union.
Participants in conversation will be female resident writers Ivona Marciuš (Croatia), Milana Matejić (Montenegro) and Dunja Matić (Serbia) as well as the representatives of institutions who, together with FEP, participate in the organization of this residency - Korifej theatre from Kolašin (Montenegro) and Assitej centre Croatia from Čakovec and the conversation will be moderated by residential mentors Anja Pletikosa and Tijana Grumić.

BULLETIN of the 30th FEP
Except as future archival material which will one day bear witness to the FEP’s past and except that it is for the enjoyment of all those presently present and directly informing on events at FEP (as well as for later reminiscing) - Bulletin is of essential importance to all those who are unable to be in Bačka Palanka during the Festival days because it offers them a taste of the atmosphere firsthand! The Bulletin of the 30th FEP will be, as per usual, a fine balance between informative, expert, objective, subjective, serious and entertaining content. The audience can expect four interesting interviews with artists from the region: Ivona Marciuš (Croatia), Milana Matejić (Montenegro) and Dunja Matić (Serbia) – all of them playwrights and Boris Čakširan – costume designer, choreographer, painter and director (Serbia). Interviews will be prepared and conducted with them by Anja Pletikosa – a playwright and drama pedagogue (Croatia), and Milica Kravić – a journalist (Serbia). Columnists in whose everyday personal reflections and experiences we will enjoy at this year’s FEP are Aleksandra Jovanović – playwright and novelist, and Nikola Zavišić - theatre director, playwright, writer and designer of light. Recommendations from the top of domestic literature for children and young people of their own choice and from their work’s opus with the readers will share our ,,Poets of the Day”: Jasminka Petrović, Pop D. Đurđev, Stefan Tićmi and Aleksandra Jovanović. In the bulletin, you will find, of course, everyone’s favourite part - audience impressions from workshops and performances of the 30th FEP. Also, there are now indispensable theatre critics as one of the segments of Bulletin, which we especially nurture and continuously develop at the regional level. At this year’s FEP, we also have three young female theatre critics: Jana Milivojević / Faculty of Dramatic Arts (Belgrade, Serbia), Lea Petrov / Faculty of Dramatic Arts (Belgrade, Serbia) and Iva Radić / Academy of Arts and Culture (Osijek, Croatia), who will write some of their first professional reviews right at our festival, of which we are particularly proud.
VIDEO METAMORPHOSIS
from caterpillar to wings
A picture says more than 1000 words, and when there are at least 24 of them per second, movable ones, then we can tell a whole cycle in one minute – from caterpillar to wings.
Just like the bulletin, every video is there for those who are not at FEP to bring them all the festival events closer. We will just look at some of them, we will listen to some, and through each one we will transform ourselves in a completely new way.
Another general issue says – that beauty is in the eye of the observer, but we would still add that it is also in the eyes of active participants, so in the metamorphosis of video content, there will be some old and some new faces, some stories from 30 years ago, but also some that are yet to be told in the next who knows how many years and decades...
Video is created by Isidora Marković, Dejan Nađ and Darko Maletin, and what are they preparing for us? - well, we'll let a picture say at least a million and 500 thousand words every day.
