”METAMORPHOSIS”

1. Little Butterfly Family
Educative, creative and ecological workshop
Age: all ages
Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday
“Little Butterfly Family” is an educative, creative and ecological workshop intended for kids of all ages. At the workshop, we will make butterflies out of natural materials (paper, cardboard, soil, clay, hey, wood…). On the final day, we will display them together in various locations in Bačka Palanka.
The workshop is led by:
Dragana Kojičić is an independent architect specialised in Earth Architecture and also a PhD Student of Scene Design in Novi Sad. Since 2010 she organises several theoretical trainings and practical workshops for soil building in cooperation with many other individuals, institutions and organisations in Serbia and the region as well. She also runs KFZ / Earth Architecture Center in Mošorin and is a main creative force behind the first Balkan Earth Conference and LALA Earthland Festival.
Along with Dragana at the Festival will also participate Nada Marinković, Marija Petrović and Smiljana Marinković. Nada is one of the founding members of Preschool Institution „Različak“ and of the Festival of Ecological Theatre for Children and Youth as well. She's been working with both children and parents for over 40 years. Of special importance to her is the fact that all the teacher's efforts in working with a child are essential to its developement only if parents take part in that work too. Marija is, through various ways of participating, a part of the Festival since its establishment. Exceptionally creative and adjustable she is god-given for care and support. Smiljana graduated from Banja Luka University's Arts Academy in 2014, and as of 2018, she's been a member of the actor's ensemble of the National Theatre of the Republic of Srpska. Just like Marija, she has also been an inseparable part of the festival since its first editions.
2. A Flock
Dance and painting workshop

Female artists gathered around the 'A Flock' project invites you to enter their creative research space, which is a joint artistic creation by both children and adults. “A Flock” is a dancing-painting workshop which brings together movement, image and sound. During the workshops and through exercises, the kids will parallelly develop and research the relation between movement and material by paying special attention to paper or nylon as the materials on which we leave our traces.
The workshop is led by:
Jovana Rakić has finished her master’s studies at the Academy for Music and Dance (Cologne, Germany), department for Dissemination of the Dance in a modern context. Before that, she graduated from the Ethnology and Anthropology department at the Faculty of Philosophy in Belgrade. Since 2014, she dedicated herself to working on projects whose focus is creating for children and working with children in the context of performance arts and modern dance.
Željka Jakovljević has graduated from the department of Scenic Architecture, Technology and Design at the Faculty of Technical Sciences in Novi Sad. She deals in modern dance through long-term informal education, various artistic collaborations, author's work as well as through pedagogic work with young or people with dissabilities.
Dunja Crnjanski has finished her master’s studies of piano at the Arts Academy in Novi Sad and her specialist studies of chamber music at the Faculty of Music Arts in Belgrade. She is engaged in modern music and dance. Within the Per.Art program entitled "Art and Inclusion", which brings together artists with or without dissabilities, she participates in various artistic projects, workshops, theatre plays and performances.
3. Birds on the palm
Ecological workshop
Age: 7-10
Thursday
Please join us at the exciting workshop “Birds on the palm ”. We will find out who the Ornithologists are and what they do. We will be hearing about the problems birds have because of the loss of their habitat, poisoning and pollution in nature. We'll meet with some interesting bird species who live in various habitats and their ways of feeding and life cycles. We'll learn how to recognise birds by their appearance and singing. We'll discover which is the smallest and which is the most enormous bird in the world. The workshop is intended for curious nature lovers. Join us and find out why birds are fascinating and why their preservation is of key importance to our environment.
The workshop is led by:
Simona Rasulić has finished the Faculty of Natural Sciences in Novi Sad and earned herself a Master Ecologist title. Since 2022, she works in the Children's Ecological Academy Association as an educator. She also has a lot of experience working with kids. On a daily basis, she maintains interactive workshops on environmental protection in primary schools and preschool institutions. So far, she held over 900 workshops.
4. Traces of Metamorphosis

Through the educational drama workshop “Traces of Metamorphosis”, we'll find out in a creative way what metamorphosis means for us. We will address the question of actors and personal transformation as well. Using the body as an actor's tool and in a broad field of imagination, we will play with and research some of these questions: What kind of mark does our environment leave on us? In what way does our environment transform us? In which direction can the transformation go? How can I impact my surroundings' positive changes and metamorphosis by art?
Through the workshop, we open up a space for researching, liberation, creating and studying; we're awakening imagination and letting it transform into reality onstage. Let's play and leave our magical Traces of Metamorphosis at this year's FEP!
The workshop is led by:
Staša Blečić graduated acting in 2018 from Professor Jasna Đuričić's class at the Academy of Arts in Novi Sad. After her studies, she led drama workshops for children and youth at Inđija Culture Centre, NTC Centre in Novi Sad, "Artelier" Cultural Centre in Inđija and "Drama Studio" in Novi Sad, after which she started her own educative acting studio "THREEE Forms Studio". In addition to acting, she is engaged in music, stage movements, education and directing of youth plays.
5. Let me dress you a story
Educative, creative and ecological workshop
Age: 9-14

What happens to the clothes when we're not wearing them? Does every pair of pants find its T-shirt so they can go together in search of a pair of shoes that would lead them into new adventures? Exploring the world, creating new movements and creating a new personal style and character can be just some of the experiences created by clothes. “Let Me Dress You a story” is an educative, creative and ecological workshop which gives us the possibility of creating characters out of old clothes and bringing them to life through the film.
The workshop is led by:
Konstantinos Petrović is at the master studies of painting at the Academy of Arts in Novi Sad. He finished his basic academic studies at the Faculty of Philology and Arts, majoring in wall painting. He is a member of the Shock Collective multimedia centre as well as of SULUV. He is also one of the founding members of the 'Graphic Network' Association of Citizens. He's working as an Arts teacher in primary school, and in his spare time he is leading workshops for kids and friends.
Asja Komadina is a graduated graphic designer who is interested in drawing, collage and creative working with hands as a way of having fun and researching as well. Since September 2023, she has been holding informal creative workshops for friends and fellow enthusiasts.
Marina Todić is a Culturology student. Apart from culture theories, she is also interested in the real world surrounding us. Hence, she investigates it through film production and various festivals, organisation of cultural happenings, as well as she does through creative workshops for adults which she makes together with her friends Kosta and Asja.
6. Who else likes the water (hydrophilic and hydrophobic)?
Scientific workshop
Age: 4-6

At this workshop, we will learn what hydrophilic and hydrophobic are through simple and interesting experiments. We will apply water on laminated paper and paper towels, and then with the help of water, oil and food colours, we will combine liquids which will show if the liquids are mixing or not. After that, we will see, with the help of large bowls of water, various objects and, through examples, which objects will dissolve in water. In the end the participants will draw a penguin using crayons on a heavy paper and after that the penguin will be sprinkled by water to show if its feathers are hydrophobic.
7. Scientific slimes and aggregate states
Scientific workshop
Age: 7+

The theme of this scientific workshop is change in aggregate state. After an introduction about what kind of aggregate states there are, how do they change and which objects are in which aggregate state, the participants will have a chance to make one of the most beloved objects, and that is A Slime. Our Slime is scientific and has a special recipe.
The workshops are led by:
Zorica Karas has finished teachers' college in Sombor as one of its best students. Her permanent knowledge and improvement were achieved through working in primary schools, educational centres and Tinker Labs school. Zorka considers that with every new hour and continuous education, there's one more way for kids to return to nature, natural sciences, logic, analytical and synthetical thinking and true values.
8. Socky-Sock
Creative drama workshop
Age: 4 -7
Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday
With the “Socky-Sock” workshop the desire is to encourage creativity and to awaken the imagination with the kids. Of the usual, everyday objects, we will make our favourite cartoon characters or we will make up some new ones. At this creative drama workshop, we'll be making dolls out of old socks, the so-called 'yawning dolls', which can be made in various colours. All we need is one sock and some decorations, which we glue to the sock and our imaginary character is finished. This way, we wish to encourage kids to choose to make their toy instead of purchasing a finished product and the process of making it itself can easily grow into fun and a quality time for the whole family.
The workshop is led by:
Božana Bijelić (1979) started acting as a member of the Children's Theatre of the Republic of Srpska youth scene in 1996. She entered the Academy in 1998, and graduated in 2003 with Robert Athauda's monodrama „Miss Margarita“. After graduation she continued her work in Children's Theatre as a member of a professional ensemble of which she is a member still to this day. In her career, she has won many awards. Along with acting, she was also involved in pedagogical work, namely, she was heading the acting school at the Children's Theatre from 2007 to 2020.
9. Who am I, and who are You?
Drama workshop

Putting someone in “Somebody else's shoes” is maybe the only option to explain yourself and your actions, as well as to find out more about someone you don't already know. It's not just very helpful with comprehending the world we live in, it puts us in a position, by using game and transformation, to be able to create a positive metamorphosis within ourselves. Through drama with elements of costumes and props at this drama workshop, which combines modern dance and physical theatre, we will have a chance to play with the disclosuring of 'someone else and different'.
The workshop is led by:
Boris Čakširan is a multimedia artist who deals in various modern forms of drama expression. While working with marginalised groups as well with the old and young ones, he participated at many international festivals and conferences and through workshops, he dealt with various social phenomena. In the field of Theatre for Children and Youth, he dealt with the questions of decomposition of evil, transformations and questions of differences.
10. What did the she-writer want to say?
Creative workshop
Age: 4-15

The ”What did the she-writer want to say” workshop is designed as a creative socialising with drama authors, all of them participants of 'Awakening the Voices of the Young Artists' residence. This residence is organised by FEP with the aim of contributing to the development and affirmation of the author's text intended for performance in theaters for children and youth. The aim of the project is to start a wave of new original texts made to be performed in theatre for children and youth and to motivate young writers to create for the youngest. During the four days of Festival, the three young drama she-writers from our region will have a chance to explore some of the ideas for their future texts while working with kids.
The workshop is led by:
“The EmpowerInk Writers Collective” consists of three young she-writers from three different countries of our region: Ivona Marciuš (Croatia), Dunja Matić (Serbia) and Milana Matejić (Montenegro). Their dedication, passion and desire to create for the youngest, the most sincere but also the most demanding audience, is the point in which all three of them meet.
11. Making of Air Sculptures
Educative and creative workshop
Age: 6-15
Thursday
"Making of Air Sculptures" is an educative and creative workshop of kites and flying animals within which we will make the listed objects out of recycled materials such as plastic and paper.
